The Museum of Civilization has a great gallery for Royal Mummies. Then you will move to the Citadel of Salah Al-Din a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo. It was the seat of government in Egypt and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo commands a strategic position overlooking the city. Later you will go to Coptic Cairo also called old Cairo where you will see the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon (2nd century A.D), visit the hanging church, church of Abu Serga with Holy Crypt where the Holy Family stayed for three months and Synagogue of Ben Ezra.

Incredible Day tour around Cairo with Khaled the Great

My friend and I booked the tour with Khaled for our 2 days trip to Cairo. Khaled was quick in responding and was flexible in regards to arranging the tour according to our interests. We opted for one day in Cairo and one day in Alexandria.
Everything was organized for us before we had arrived to Cairo, the itinerary was clear and easy to understand. At no point we had to queue and wait to do anything, and everything ran very smooth.
His kindness and hospitality made our trip more memorable.
Our tour guide Khaled was very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. He answered any questions we had about the culture, history and food! He also was a very good photographer, taking his time to take a best possible picture for us the remember this trip by.
Over all, we are extremely happy with the tour and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a tour guide during their stay in Cairo. Would also love to come back to do a longer tour with Khaled
